What Is the Eye of Truth in Ocarina of Time
The Lens of Truth is a relic crafted by the ancient Sheikah clan to pierce through illusions. When activated, it continuously consumes Magic Power while allowing Link to see hidden platforms, secret doors, and camouflaged foes. It is primarily required to navigate the perilous Shadow Temple and safely cross the Haunted Wasteland.
Prerequisites for Accessing the Mini Dungeon
Before retrieving the relic, Link must first learn the Song of Storms as an adult. Head to Kakariko Village as Adult Link and visit the windmill to hear the song from the musician inside. Once learned, return to the Temple of Time, place the Master Sword back into its pedestal, and travel back in time to become Child Link once again.
Draining the Kakariko Village Well
As Child Link, return to Kakariko Village and enter the windmill building. Stand before the windmill musician and play the Song of Storms on your Ocarina. This action triggers a sequence that drains all the water from the village well, unlocking the entrance to the creepy Bottom of the Well mini-dungeon below.
